Oneida man damages holding cell following DWI arrest

Frank V. Sansone, 30, of Schoolheimer Road, Oneida was arrested for five counts of criminal mischief, among other charges after damaging two sinks in the city's holding cell area on June 10.

According to Oneida police, a dispute was reported at 618 Patio Circle at about 1:30 this morning in the driveway of the residence. Sansone drove his 2004 Dodge pick-up into a 1999 Mercury Sable that was parked in the driveway, pushing that car into a second vehicle parked in the driveway, a 2005 Nissan, which pushed that vehicle into the garage door. The vehicles were damaged as was the garage door. Sansone then left the scene.

He was stopped by police on N. Willow Street and arrested for driving while intoxicated, operating a motor vehicle with a BAC of .08 or more, leaving the scene of a property damage motor vehicle accident and refusal of a breath screening. He resisted arrest and fought with police before being taken into custody, resulting in a resisting arrest charge.

He was arraigned before Oneida City Court Judge Michael Misiaszek and committed to Madison County Jail with bail set at $1,000. He is scheduled to appear in court on June 12.
