Onondaga County Sheriff's detectives investigating a recent attempted sexual assault have developed a suspect composite.
Working with witnesses, detectives assigned to the Sheriff's Abused Persons Unit developed a composite (right) that closely resembles the suspect who reportedly accosted a woman on Onondaga Lakes West Shore Trail.
The suspect, described as a white male, is believed to be between 35 and 45 years old, of medium build, weighing approximately 200 to 225 pounds.
The suspect had a two- to three-day beard growth on his face and was last seen wearing a tie-dyed shirt, light colored jean shorts and sneakers.
The attempted sexual assault was reported on Monday May 25, when a 20-year-old woman told authorities that she was accosted while rollerblading
on the west shore trail of Onondaga Lake. The woman reported that the suspect grabbed her as she passed by and exposed himself between 7:15 and 7:30 p.m. The woman struggled to break free from his grasp.
Anyone with information is asked to contact the Sheriff's Abused Person's Unit by calling 435-3092.
