Due to an overwhelming response, Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery announced this morning that it will host two weeks of grandparent-grandchildren fishing, Monday June 22 through Friday June 26, and Monday July 27 through Friday July 31. The program will be run twice daily from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m. and again from 1:30 to 3:30 p.m. during these weeks.
The grandparent-grandchildren fishing program offers a great opportunity for grandparents to enjoy quality time with their grandchildren, catch lunker trout, and create memories for a lifetime.
The program accommodates 20 grandchildren per session with poles and bait provided. If you bring your own fishing equipment there is no live bait or treble hooks allowed. A maximum of two grandchildren per grandparent is allowed. The price is $2 per grandchild and reservations are required.
Carpenter's Brook Fish Hatchery is an Onondaga County Park facility, located on Route 321, 2.3 miles south of Route 5 in the town of Elbridge. The Hatchery is open daily 8 a.m. to 8 p.m.
