B'ville residents announce granddaughter's honor

The granddaughter of Jim and Marge Lowery of Baldwinsville, Alexandra Lowery, 14, was recently named the 2009 Miss Texas American Coed Junior Teen. She will compete at the 26th annual National Pageant in Florida and Walt Disney World during Thanksgiving and will represent the state of Texas in her age division. She will compete for the National Pageant title of Miss American Junior Teen and thousands of dollars in cash awards, prizes and scholarships.

Alexandra also won most photogenic, best actress, best speech, best interview and most spirited optional contests. She received more than $1,000 in cash and prizes. Alexandra is the proud daughter of Jim Lowery, a 1981 graduate of Baker High School. He and his family currently live in Frisco, Texas.

American Coed Pageants, Inc. annually holds state pageants for the purpose of recognizing and rewarding outstanding young women between the ages of 3 and 22 for their past and present accomplishments and to encourage them to set and achieve high goals for the future.
