The Campbell-Dean Funeral Home on Main Street in Oneida has released service arrangement information to the community as of today for Lance Cpl. Jeremy S. Lasher, 27, of Oneida.
The calling hours for Lasher will be on Friday July 31 at the funeral home from 1 p.m. to 7 p.m. The funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday Aug. 1 at New Beginnings Methodist Church in Wampsville.
Both the calling hours and funeral service are open to the community within the wishes of Lasher's family, according to the Campbell Dean Funeral Home.
Lasher's body was brought back to the United States only five days ago after he died in Afghanistan while supporting Operation Enduring Freedom. He is survived by his wife Andrea Lasher, 24, his 1-year-old son Caden, as well as other immediate family members including his brother Ryan, also a Marine.
Jeremy Lasher enlisted in the Marines in October 2006 and he was promoted to the rank of Lance Corporal of the Marines in December 2007. He was deployed to Afghanistan in May of this year to support Operation Enduring Freedom.
