Calling all decendents of Walter Cook

The Central New York descendents of Walter Cook will meet for their 100th family reunion and picnic on Sunday Aug. 9 at the Lodge located in the Town of VanBuren Park on Connors Road.

Cook was born May 25, 1618 in Leeds, England and immigrated in 1643 to Weymouth,Mass. He died Jan. 5, 1694 in Mendon, Mass. In 1834 his great-great-great grandson, Caleb Cook, immigrated to the town of Granby in Oswego County from Swanzey, NH bringing with him his family and father Simeon.

The reunion committee hopes that all descendants of Walter, Simeon, Caleb and Carlon Cook will participate in this event. The family will gather at noon and a picnic dinner will be held at 1 p.m. There will be games for all, genealogists will be there and a slide show will be presented. There will also be great conversation and stories.
