B'ville resident elected to MHA board

Baldwinsville resident Anne Marie Mullin, vice president of business development and marketing for Laboratory Alliance, was elected to the board of Contact Community Services, Inc. and the Mental Health Association (MHA) of Onondaga County. She served as president of the MHA board for the past year and was involved in the recent consolidation of services between the MHA and Contact. The two organizations consolidated their governance, management and administrative functions to cut costs.

Both organizations will retain their separate names and corporations. One board of directors comprised of members from the Contact board and the Mental Health Association board will serve both organizations, which have provided Central New York with mental health support and services for decades.

"The Mental Health Association board was looking at ways to save money and partner with another similar organization," said Mullin. "This allows us to weather the economic downturn and provide more resource availability for the programs that we need."
