Ghostwalk: Park Avenue Poltergeist Revisited

It is the good old summertime, a time to visit some old, old friends. The Onondaga Historical Association (OHA) and Park Avenue Neighborhood Association announce a summer "GhostWalk: Park Avenue Poltergeist Revisited."

Leavenworth, Wilkinson, Geddes, Larned, Belden, and Van Renssallear are all names of familiar Park Avenue area locals and are also intertwined with Syracuse history.

These personalities from the past "return" to tell of their lives and times and dish about the past. With your guide, stroll the shaded streets of one of Syracuse's most unique residential neighborhoods. Tours leave from 312 Park Ave; one of the much talked about and newly renovated "Five Sisters" across from Leavenworth Park. The journeys into the past take place Sunday, August 9th; Monday, Aug. 10; and Tuesday, Aug. 11 with tours leaving every 15 minutes from 6 to 8 p.m. rain or shine.

The cost is $10 for members and $12 for non-members. Reservations are strongly recommended; call 428-1864 ext 380.

And for those of you who can't get enough Syracuse Spirits, coming Sept. 25, 26 and Oct. 2nd, 3rd prepare yourselves for our Fall Ghost Walk: Scare-A-Cuse, the stranger side of the Salt City
