Nancy Pearl, every reader's rock star, will speak in the Curtin Auditorium of the Central Library at 5:30 p.m., July 28, as part of the 2009/10 CNY Reads initiative.
A librarian and former book-seller, Pearl is the best-selling author of "Book Lust" and "More Book Lust."
In 1998, she developed the program "If All of Seattle Read the Same Book," which is being used across the country and locally as CNY Reads.
She is a regular commentator about books on National Public Radio's "Morning Edition," and was the model for the popular Librarian Action Figure.
