West Genesee High School conferred its first Career and Technical Education (CTE) diploma endorsements at its graduation ceremony Saturday June 20. Joseph Albiker, Matthew Borek, John Conboy, Terence Hoverter, Luke Wadach and Brittnee Klaczko were all recognized for completing the prescribed CTE courses of study.
Albiker, Borek, Conboy and Hoverter finished the Engineering Technology program while Klaczko fulfilled the criteria for the Finance strand of study.
The final step each student accomplished was to pass an industry-based assessment, the NOCTI Examinations, related to their specific areas of expertise. The Engineering Technology students sat for the online Computer Aided Design test and Klaczko took the Retail Trades examination.
Congratulations go to all six students for passing their respective tests as well as their West Genesee High School Business and Technology classes.
