The 15th Annual Baldwinsville Rotary Seneca River Days will again host two races -- the Seneca River 5K Run and the Seneca River Duck Waddle for children ages 6 to 12 years old, Saturday July 11.
Sponsored by Hills, Farnham and Hills, the Seneca River Duck Waddle race begins at 9 a.m. at the entrance of Mercer Park and goes to the end of River Street and back to the entrance of Mercer Park.
Sponsored by Indian Springs Manufacturing, the Seneca River 5K Run will begin at 9:30 a.m. at the Mercer Park entrance. Participants will run down River Street turning right onto Oswego Street, right onto Water Street through the park, right onto Tappan Street, right onto Cook Drive, left onto Hunter Drive, left onto Comstock Road, left onto Tappan Street, left into park onto Water Street, left onto Oswego Street and then continuing back to the entrance of Mercer Park for their finish. Course description: fast, flat course on pavement with one hill at the half-way point.
First runner in 5K will receive a prize from sponsor Fleet Feet. Registration is $12 for adults and $6 for children. Pre-registration deadline is July 6, and those who meet the deadline will receive free T-shirts, which are available for pick-up the day of the run.
