Unemployed? WCNY wants you

WCNY is looking for unemployed persons to act as the studio audience in a live, televised panel discussion regarding the current economic crisis in Central New York.

"Surviving Unemployment: A Town Hall Meeting" airs July 9 at 8 p.m. on WCNY 24.1 and will be hosted by WCNY's "Financial Fitness" host J. Daniel Pluff.

The panel will consist of experts in the labor and financial fields. The discussion will focus on what services are available to those that are unemployed, the process of filing for unemployment and how to be successful while in the job market. The program will also discuss the emotional toll unemployment can take, as well as the financial problems the jobless face when their income is significantly reduced.
