Students hone writing skills

First-grader Cassidy Hudson receives some suggestions from fifth-graders Brian Steinfeld and Sandra Meeker as she works on a writing assignment during her class' writer's workshop at Elden Elementary. Teacher Christy Brooks' students have been meeting with Casey Price's first-graders every week to act as mentors while the younger students work on their writing and editing skills.
