J-E, Solvay girls ousted in Class B playoffs

One more time this season, Tessa Pucello tried to take charge, and she managed 14 points in the face of a Lakers defense doing everything conceivable to stop her.

Otherwise, the Bearcats managed just six total field goals, with Liz Martinez and Amanda Bigness each getting five points. Cazenovia had a deep, well-balanced attack, as Kiley Evans and Kassie Kleine led the way with 12 points apiece.

Solvay ended its season with a mark of 9-12, but it could get back above the .500 mark next season with Pucello coming back and stars like Evans and Westhill's Carly Cooper leaving the league scene.
