The Alzheimer's Association, Central New York Chapter has unveiled a new free program to introduce the public to Alzheimer's disease and services available in the area.
Get Connected - Alzheimer's Resources and Information will be a regularly scheduled program that will take place from 6 to 7 p.m. on the second Monday and fourth Thursday of each month. The sessions will take place at the Chapter's Kirkpatrick Day Program, 441 West Kirkpatrick St. in Syracuse. Upcoming sessions will take place on Feb. 26, March 9 and 26, April 13 and 23 and May 11 and 28.
The program will specifically review the disease and how it affects a person, basic facts of the disease, Alzheimer's Association services, local resources and ways to get involved in the fight against Alzheimer's. A question and answer period follows each workshop.
