The Friends of Historic Onondaga Lake (FoHOL), a not-for-profit community organization, is dedicated to preserving the rich and extensive history that surrounds Onondaga Lake by connecting the past with the future. This is done through programming at Ste.Marie among the Iroquois, the Salt Museum, and elsewhere within the communities that surround this majestic lake.
With the continued progress and growth that surrounds Onondaga Lake, FoHOL is also poised to be a component of growth. Looking to the future, opportunities to enhance the lake experience is foremost on FoHOL's horizon. With further development as an attraction and a focal point of Central New York, Onondaga Lake has a lead role in economic development. The Onondaga Lake clean-up is well underway and there is plenty of optimism for our future. The time to aid in the development of the New Onondaga Lake Adventure is now.
The first step in further transforming our lake into a superior destination is to gather community input. Friends of Historic Onondaga Lake has commissioned a feasibility study and is hoping to engage the community at large to provide input regarding Onondaga Lake. Simply go to RMSresults.com/FOHOL before Feb. 22 to participate in this survey. Community participation in this survey is critical and will enable FoHOL to gage each community's interest and support.
Funding for this feasibility study has been provided by an anonymous donor, the Friends of Historic Onondaga Lake and Honeywell International.
