To its credit, the Gaelic Knights fought back within nine, 40-31, early in the fourth quarter, giving its fans brief hope of a miracle comeback before the Brothers used six straight points to close things out.
For the night, Smith had 11 points, with Montgomery adding seven points. John Rooney and Nick Familo each had six points. Ludden held CBA star Mike Goodman without a field goal, but Stefan Thompson, Troy Bullock (12 points) and Greg Thomson (10 points) made up for it.
Ludden would host Mexico Tuesday night, then visit Cortland on Thursday before Sunday's announcement of the Section III Class A playoff pairings.
