Hamilton coach tie donations top $800

After Monday night's boys basketball game against Waterville, Hamilton Central Schools Coach Dave Rhyde had raised more than $800 for Coaches vs. Cancer by wearing ties donated by fans. The night of the Waterville game, Rhyde wore two ties - one during the JV game and one during the varsity contest - because so many fans have contributed. Raising funds for cancer victims and research is second nature for Rhyde and his wife Debbie. Their son Nick was treated for cancer several years ago. The idea of wearing the ties came from Dr. David Haswell.
