The Baldwinsville Volunteer Center is seeking nominations for the Outstanding Man and Woman Volunteers of 2008. Anyone may make a nomination, but the nominee's activities must directly benefit the Greater Baldwinsville community.
"All of the wonderful people who volunteer their time and talent in our community should be applauded," said Nancy Conley, executive director of the Baldwinsville Volunteer Center. "However, it's time now to choose who should be recognized for their outstanding community service in the past year."
The Outstanding Man and Woman Volunteer winners will be honored at an awards dinner later this spring. Last year's top volunteers were Norma Goodman and John O'Neill.
Nominations are due Friday Feb. 27. Forms are available at the Volunteer Center or on their Web site at bvillevolunteers.org under "Awards." Nominations can also be in a letter form, detailing all of the nominee's community service activities, the organizations they are involved in and the time they've spent volunteering for each activity. The volunteer activities must directly benefit the Greater Baldwinsville community and should include a variety of community service and volunteer activities for 2008. The nomination must also include the nominee's full name, address and phone number.
Nominations can be mailed to the Volunteer Center at 44 Oswego St. or emailed to firstname.lastname@example.org. For more information, call Conley at 638-0251.
