B'ville musicians selected for music festivals

Six to attend area All State Music Festival

Six orchestra students from Baker High School have been invited to perform in the NYSSMA Senior High School Area-All State Music Festival, to be held Feb. 5 and 6 at Ithaca College. They are Nicole Felty, viola; Tyler Pelkie, violin; Ashley Marsh, viola; Catherine Klapheke, string bass; Zachary Brown, cello; and Brian Kane, cello.

Thirty-nine selected for All-County Music Fest

Thirty-nine students from the Baldwinsville Central School District have been selected to perform in the OCMEA Senior High School All-County Music Festival, to be held Jan. 15 and 16 at Cicero-North Syracuse High School. They are:

All-County Band

Laura Farleman, oboe; Tim Niedzwecki, clarinet; Tim Richards, trumpet; Elise Conklin, trumpet; Alan Gribble, trumpet; Andrew Nave, trombone; Zachary Shirk, trombone; Ben Bardenett, trombone; and Aaron Walters, percussion.

All-County Orchestra

Kaitlyn Allen, clarinet; Jeremy Bossert, tuba; Hannah Coburn, violin; Kiara Osolinsky, violin; Nicole Felty, viola; Jacob Martin, cello; Zach Brown, cello; Shane Rahrle, cello; and Katie Klapheke, string bass.

All-County Chorus

Soprano -- Ashley Squairs, Emily Gell, Bonnie Abbott, Heather Rosenthal, Caitlyn Sparkes, Nancy Canning, Megan Mahar, Kristen Gell, and Grace Geno.

Alto -- Ali Niemiec, Marissa McLean, Brittany Ungleich, Micaela Burke, and Joanna Kenney.

Tenor -- Andrey Peshko, Nicholas Augello, Daniel Mullarney and Taylor Woods.

Bass -- Ryan Sparkes, Sean Honsinger, and Brian Scott.
