The Museum at the Shacksboro Schoolhouse opens a new exhibition with its annual Holiday Open House from noon to 4 p.m. Sunday Dec. 6. Festivities include musicians, refreshments and the opening of this year's traditional holiday exhibition.
The public is invited to enjoy the music of harpist Amy Hueber and the voices of the Village Singers. A hospitality table will feature samples of treats from the museum cookbook. The museum shop will be freshly stocked with Christmas ornaments and decorations, local history books, gift items and a variety of Baldwinsville items including the Baldwinsville coverlet and woodenware by craftsman Bill Weston.
Antique dolls and toys will highlight the annual Christmas exhibition. Traditional holiday greetings, decorations and assorted Victoriana will fill the exhibit of "Christmas Memories."
Admission is free. The museum is located at 46 Canton St. in McHarrie Park. The museum and the museum shop are open year round each from noon to 4 p.m. Wednesdays through Sundays. For more information, call the museum at 638-2452 or visit online at shacksboromuseum.com.
