In the interest of protecting our community from identity theft, Oneida Savings Bank, with the help of Confidata, is holding a "Shred Fest" event at the Oneida Savings' Chittenango Office, 519 Genesee Street, Chittenango.
From 9 a.m. to noon Saturday Sept. 19 the public will be able to bring their personal documents, financial statements, credit card offers and other sensitive material to be securely shredded at no charge by the experts from Confidata. The process takes only a few minutes and Confidata will come to your car to assist you with your bags and boxes.
A maximum of 5 boxes or 175 pounds of material will be accepted. Oneida Savings environmentally friendly eStatement sign ups as well as additional identity theft prevention tips will be available. A bake sale by the Town of Sullivan Senior Citizens will run the same day from 9 a.m. to noon at the Oneida Savings' Chittenango Office.
