In the last 10 years, the Walk to Defeat ALS' has raised over $80 million to support the work of The ALS Association. Since its inception in 2000, the Walk has served as the most powerful and effective response to the ALS epidemic in the United States. Now in its ninth year, approximately 150 Walks will take place in communities throughout the United States. National Walk to Defeat ALS sponsors are Booz Allen Hamilton and Permobil.
Local walks will be held in Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester, Ithaca and Canajoharie.
