Good neighbors appreciated

The Baldwinsville Volunteer Fire Company recently participated in the Walgreen's Customer Appreciation Day, held Saturday July 25, providing two fire trucks and a team of firefighters under the supervision of Fire Lt. and paramedic Anthony D'Gregorio. In addition to free hot dogs, beverages and a DARE display, Walgreen's customers were also able to get a close-up view of the fire trucks and other equipment and children were given the opportunity to sit in the driver's seats of the trucks while their parents took their picture. The Red Cross was also present doing a blood drive. Walgreen's and Station I of the Baldwinsville Volunteer Fire Department are neighbors at the corner of Downer Street and Crego Road. The following firefighters volunteered their time to the event, which was held in the Walgreen's parking lot: John Vanderberg, Justin Vanderberg, Kevin D'Gregorio, Shane Olney, Robert Kick, Carol Persse, Tony Organski, Tom Warner and Fire Lt. John Prytle.
