Concert benefits B'ville Food Pantry

Hillview Community Church Coffeehouse presents the band The Gospel Misfits in concert to benefit the Baldwinsville Food Pantry at 7 p.m. Saturday Sept. 19.

The Gospel Misfits, a country and gospel group from Orwell, consists of Lee and Vicki Teachout and Herb Smith (Vicki's dad). They have been performing their style of music since 1992 with Herb playing guitar, Vicki on keyboard and Lee, switching back and forth between bass and fiddle. They each take turns singing lead and harmony on songs derived from hymns, bluegrass, southern gospel, blues and country.

Although sincere in what they do, The Gospel Misfits are known for including their unique sense of humor wherever they go.

Cost of admission is just non-perishable food items for the Baldwinsville Food Pantry. Snacks and drinks will be available.

The church is located on O'Brien Road in Baldwinsville. For more information, please call 635.6952, 638.0357 or visit hillviewcbc.org.
