The long awaited Rotary Greater Baldwinsville Business Pages Telephone and Website Directory is now available for pick up at various sites in and around the village.
This is an attractive sky blue yellow pages type directory. The full color front and back covers feature local scenes photographed by Marianne Miles. The back cover is a Baldwinsville Restaurant Guide. More than 225 local businesses and services are listed in this sturdily bound book.
The Rotary Club of Baldwinsville has been working since January soliciting listings and organizing the book. In addition to phone and website listings, the book contains attractive and informational ads, and information on Rotary International and the local Baldwinsville Rotary Club. Emergency numbers, zip codes, a list of the many sponsors of Seneca River Days, telephone and page listings and a category index are found at the front of the book.
Since 2004 smaller business listing booklets have been distributed at Seneca River Days. Last minute changes delayed the printing of these new books, but they are well worth the short wait. They may be picked up at the library, the post office, Town of Lysander and Town of Van Buren town halls, Baldwinsville Village Hall, the Chamber of Commerce Office, the Volunteer Center, the Visitor Center and Canton Woods.
In the future, the publishing of Business Directories will be a Rotary fundraiser separate from Seneca River Days. Directories will be published every two years. It is hoped that every household will pick up one directory and keep it by the phone for ready reference. Cost prohibits multiple copies being available to all households.
Throughout the directory, patrons will find familiar businesses and new ones. Patronizing them supports the very businesses and services who give back to our community. Please mention that you saw their listing in the Greater Baldwinsville Business Directory.
The Rotary Club appreciates and thanks those businesses that are listed in the directory and those patrons who use the directory. All proceeds will be used to fund Rotary's community service projects in the Baldwinsville community and around the world from scholarships for high school seniors to free dictionaries for all third graders, to the worldwide eradication of polio.
