Want to blue bin it?

Onondaga County residents can pick up free recycling bins and recycling instructions on Wednesday, Aug. t 5 from 9:30 a.m. until 1:30 p.m. at the Price Chopper Plaza (2515 Erie Boulevard East, Syracuse, 13224) near the intersection of South Midler Avenue / Seeley Road.

Did you know, since 1990 Onondaga County has recycled more than 10 million tons of material? Help bump that number up and get a new Blue Bin. This event is free and open to the public.

Recycling specialist Ann Fordock said, "Anyone living in OCRRA's service area is welcome to pick-up a free Blue Bin, or two, at the Price Chopper Plaza. There will be handy recycling information magnets, recycling brochures, and recycling activity books for kids available too."

City of Syracuse residents can also get a new Blue Bin by calling 448-2489. Onondaga County residents living outside the City can get a new Blue Bin by visiting their town or village highway garage. For info on where your highway garage is located, visit: ocrra.org/recycling_bluebins.asp#bluebin
