Oneida police recover CD's

The Oneida City Police Department recovered a quantity of CD's on April 26 that may have been stolen out of vehicles in the Morgan Avenue area. Anyone that is missing CD's can call the police department at 363-2323.

Underage drinking initiative comes up empty

The Oneida City Police Department with the assistance of the Madison County Sheriff's Department conducted a check of all establishments in the city of Oneida that sell alcohol, to check for any violations of selling alcohol to individuals younger than 21. A detail was completed using a person younger than 21 to go into establishments with an undercover officer and attempt to purchase alcohol.

All stores that sell beer or alcohol or establishments that sell alcohol for consumption on the premises were checked.

"We are pleased to report there were no violations reported," said Oneida Police Chief David Meeker Sr. in a press release. "In an effort to maintain compliance we will continue to schedule these details.
