In response to the vandalism, Perkins said the department is being vigilant in finding the person or people responsible. He's asking that residents keep their eyes open and call the department if they see anything suspicious.
Like Perkins, Major said that if people can keep their eyes open to what kids in the community are doing -- for instance if they are purchasing spray paint -- it would alert parents and the community of suspicious behavior.
"We are working on it. We are working on it with people in the community," Perkins said. "If anyone has any information, we definitely want to put a stop to it."
