Sullivan Easter egg hunts serve nearly 400

On April 11, Easter egg hunts were held in the town of Sullivan at Sullivan Park in Chittenango and Chapman Park in Bridgeport. About 370 youths 8 years old and under attended with their parents to try to pick up one of the prize-winning special eggs and to hunt for the pennies and candy-filled eggs that were hidden throughout the parks.

Every child that attended also had a chance to visit with the Easter Bunny and received a souvenir bunny to take home.

At Sullivan Park, Joshua Blowers, Kalab Blowers, Stephanie Gilbert, Brianna Crystal, Alex Sylstra, Na'shaun Gatewood, Kolgan DeForest, Rory Douglass, Nadia Talukdar, Aiden Talukdar, Quinn Talukdar, Bailey Foster, Dillon Campbell, Cassidy Kelly and Haley Walters all found a prize winning egg. Tristan Stacy found two prize eggs, Michael Quiles found three prize eggs and Caleb Salerno found four prize-winning eggs.

Landen Lehner and Lilian Tyscon were the winners of the jelly bean count.

Maddie Theobald, Floyd Brownell, Samantha Love, Rainah Regis, Miranda Danaher, Rachel Gilbert, Caleb Salerno and Andrew Graf located the special coins during the penny hunt.

Prize-winning eggs at Chapman Park were found by: Shannon Galster, Gregory Sheedy, Tyler Bell, Miranda Danaher, McKenzie Cordell, Micah Alpuerto, Jaiden Williams, Lillian Reynolds, Brooke Sardella, Brooke Cullen, Josh Olmsted, Braedon Daviau, Savannah Hile, Bresion Henphill, Travis Baum and Carter Lamphear.

Leann Darling found two prize-winning eggs.

Catlin Pielin and Lilly Tysol were the winners of the jelly bean count.

Miranda Danaher, Kimberly Mitchell, Bryson Weaver and Tyler Rudd located the special coins during the penny hunt.

More than 20 volunteers helped with the hunts to be sure the day was fun for all. Special recognition should go to the "Kids Choice" after school program, Sullivan Red Hat Mommas and the Leisure Time Club members who filled the 4,000 eggs needed for the hunts.
