Congratulations to Baker High School's AP physics C students who won first place in the best performing machine category in the Sensis Corporation's Annual Student Engineering Contest held April 4. Teams had to design and construct a machine that would travel about 100 feet. Baker's team constructed a machine that traveled 96 feet, beating 10 other area high school teams. Baker's team included (back row from left) Brian Niedzwecki, teacher John Lerner, Marc Tiller, Josh Bean, (front row from left) Andy Romeu, Nolan Miles, Brad James, Tim Chambers and Adam Lesh. Jeff Pond (missing) was also on the team.
