B'ville: District budget approved

The Baldwinsville Board of Education adopted the 2009-10 General Fund budget of $93,669,512 at last night's district board meeting with a 9-0 vote.

The board has worked on the budget for the past few months cutting items from all departments in light of the economical situation across the country. The budget included reducing staff by 30 including administrative, teaching and assistant teaching positions, and no increase in the tax levy (amount residents would pay to the district).

The budget will be presented to district residents for vote from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday May 19 at the Baker High School auditorium.
