The Jordan Village Board on Thursday approved an inter-municipal agreement with the town of Elbridge to contract for code enforcement services. Town code enforcement officer Robert J. Herrmann, Jr. will now serve the village of Jordan in addition to his duties with the town and village of Elbridge. The village began discussing the possibility in November, after former village code enforcement officer Jim Johnson submitted his letter of resignation. Herrmann, who serves as CEO for the town and village of Elbridge, was highly recommended by both municipalities. The contract will allow Jordan a full-time CEO on an as-needed basis, as Herrmann works full-time in Elbridge. The village previously employed a CEO part-time for 15 hours each week.
