Spillett among ’50 Directors who make a Difference’
School Band and Orchestra (SB&O) magazine is the premier monthly publication for school band and orchestra directors and music educators in the United States. Twelve years ago the magazine’s editors started a tradition of honoring an exemplary music educator from each of the 50 states in the U.S. These outstanding teachers are recognized annually in the magazine’s December issue for their student’s achievement and for the positive impact they have on the lives of their students. Solvay High School band director John Spillett has been selected as the 2009 music educator honoree from New York State. His name and picture will appear in the magazine’s December 2009 “50 Directors Who Make a Difference” report. Winter Band and Concert Exhibit planned
The Solvay High School Music and Art departments’ Annual Winter Band Concert and Art Exhibit will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday Dec. 10 at Solvay High School. The public is welcome.
