Finally earning its first CNY Counties League National division win of the season, the Liverpool girls basketball team went to Henninger last Tuesday night and beat the Black Knights by a score of 56-45. For a long time, the Warriors had been looking for the kind of start it enjoyed against the Black Knights — a 19-8 push. And even though Henninger calmed down for a while, the Warriors regained control with a 20-12 rush through the third quarter. Ally Zywicki buried all four of her team’s successful 3-point attempts on her way to 20 points, a career high. Lyteshia Price had 12 points, while Cara Scalisi earned seven points and Emily Lafave got six points. Henninger, in defeat, got 17 points from Shalisia Jackson and Laqueisha Johnson.
