Chittenango Police seek burglar

Chief Jeffrey T. Paul announced Saturday evening that the Chittenango Police Department is investigating the burglary of RJ's Coin and Currency, located at 157 W. Genesee St. in the village.

The incident occurred in the early morning hours of Sept. 20, Paul said. He said a blunt tool was used to break out a pane of glass in the door and gain entrance to the building.

More than $20,000 worth of collectible gold and silver coins and U.S. paper currency in all denominations was taken. All of the currency taken is considered collectors' items.

Anyone with information is urged to call Inv. Wade Irwin or Paul at 687-3930.
