No more backpacks at stadium

By Kelly Cary, BCSD

The Baldwinsville Central School District would like to remind and inform community residents of spectator procedures for home football contests at Pelcher/Arcaro Stadium. Most of these procedures have been in effect for several years. To help ensure the safety of all athletes and spectators at football games, the district has added a couple of additional procedures.

As in the past, spectators are asked to sit or stand in the appropriately marked areas within the confines of the stadium bleachers. If anyone needs assistance during the contest, supervisors can be identified by the jackets or shirts they are wearing. Football games in the stadium will start at 6:30 p.m. and other sporting events at the stadium will start at 6 p.m. Any student attending contests who is in seventh grade and under must be accompanied by a parent and the child must remain with the parent throughout the contest. No food or drinks can be carried into the stadium. New this year -- backpacks will not be allowed and at football games the gates will be supervised and no re-admittance will be allowed.

With cooperation from all who attend, the district anticipates a positive experience for athletes and supporters of the Baldwinsville Bees!
