With 'Tame the Bull,' an event to raise money for local schools and sponsored by Green Hills, coming up on Saturday, Sept. 20, 'Bob the Bull' will be making his debut in the North Parking Lot at Green Hills Market on Monday, Sept. 15 at 9 a.m.
'Bob the Bull' is a magnificent creature, inspired and created by Bob Mickle, a native of The Valley. 'Bob the Bull' will be traveling all over The Valley behind Bob's daughter, Heidi Mickle's bicycle, throughout the week leading up to Green Hills 'Tame the Bull' event.
Both Bob and Heidi have put weeks of effort and creativity into 'Bob the Bull's' creation.
'Bob the Bull' is a unique creature, created out of a kayak trailer, built by Robert Kenneth Greene who is also a native of The Valley. Heidi will be pedaling her bike and 'Bob' all over The Valley this week to promote 'Tame the Bull'and Mayor Matt Driscoll's riding of the mechanical bull at 1 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 20.
'Bob's' head was hand carved by Bob Mickle complete with marble eyes, eyelashes, a ring in his nose and quite a bullish body. No doubt 'Bob' will be sure to be the talk of The Valley during his 'tour' and for some time to come.
We invite the media to attend 'Bob's' unveiling on Monday, Sept. 15 at 9 a.m. in the North Parking Lot at Green Hills. This is a great human-interest story, the pictures will be fantastic and it's all to help raise funds for local schools.
