Timber Tree Service began as a two-man operation in 1979 and has been growing ever since. This past spring, owner Stanley Dombrowski moved to a larger location offering a new garden center and gift shop.
The new location's entrance is framed by huge logs that allow for the heavy machinery to move through. The company offers many services including landscaping, tree care and coming this fall, storage for all types of vehicles.
The garden center includes a unique shop with a southwestern and newly added Adirondack theme. Wendy Graham, who runs the garden center with her sister Cheryl Dombrowski, said Timber Tree is trying to utilize local crafters. They offer honey and sauces made locally. The gift shop is open air and includes a porch lined with Adirondack furniture as well as fragrant flowers and gifts available for purchase.
The garden center offers a wide variety of mulches as well as landscaping materials. The new storage center is being built at this time. Applications for use of the storage facilities are being taken. Anyone can visit the garden center to purchase a gift, landscaping materials including plants, pavers, stone and mulch. While there, other services can be requested. The company will continue to provide all tree services as they always have.
The Garden Center is looking forward to the fall this year. Plans include a fall celebration that will feature pumpkins, apples as well as items currently for sale. Later in the year, Timber Tree will be expanding to include a Christmas Tree sale. Graham reports business as very good having doubled sales since opening in May.
Timber Tree can be reached at 638-0345. The garden center and gift shop is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. seven days a week. The store is very accessible on the corner of Church Road and Route 690.
