The 31st Annual Golden Harvest Festival will be held from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday Sept. 6 and from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday Sept. 7 at Beaver Lake Nature Center.
This seasonal celebration promises to have something for everyone: hands-on nature activities, horse-drawn hayrides, free canoeing, homemade doughnuts, live animal demonstrations, nature hikes, games, artisan and craft shopping, and a unique lineup of live music and entertainment.
"Onondaga County Parks are a treasure in our community, and the Golden Harvest Festival is one of our most popular and best attended events. I hope all Central New Yorkers will take the opportunity to enjoy the Golden Harvest Festival, it's a great way to enjoy the season with family and friends," said County Executive Joanie Mahoney.
Highlighting the entertainment schedule are local favorites such as Los Blancos, The Joe Whiting Band, The Magic of Virgil, Two - A Juggling Act, and Dan Duggan. The schedule also includes Les Sampou, a medley of folk, and rhythm and blues.
Admission to Golden Harvest Festival is $5 for adults; $1 for children 6 -17 years old and 5 and younger are free.
