Local CROP walks raise $165K for hunger

In Onondaga County, 2,182 walkers in 11 communities raised around $110,900:

In Downtown Syracuse, 500 walkers participated Sunday to raise $25,000

In Skaneateles, 150 walkers participated Sunday to raise $12,000 for the cause, triple its 2007 earnings.

In Cicero-Oneida Shores, 82 walkers participated Sunday to raise $5,000.

In Marcellus, 125 walkers participated Sunday to raise $5,200.

In Jordan-Elbridge, 50 walkers participated Sunday to raise $1,900.

In Minoa-Kirkville-Bridgeport, 195 walkers participated Sunday to raise $3,000, their best total ever.

In the Suburban East walk, 230 walkers participated Sunday to raise $16,000.

In the Suburban North walk, 350 walkers participated Sunday to raise $25,000, which Anderson predicts will set a new record in 2008.

In the Suburban West walk, 275 walkers participated Sunday to raise $11,000 for the cause.

In Madison County, 625 walkers in the communities of Chittenango, Canastota, Hamilton, Cazenovia, Oneida and DeRuyter raised around $26,000

In Oneida, 155 walkers participated Sunday to raise $6,000.

In Chittenango, 75 walkers participated Sunday to raise $2,500.

In Canastota, 170 walkers participated Sunday to raise $5,400.

In Hamilton, 100 walkers participated Sunday to raise $7,000.

In Cazenovia, 100 walkers participated Sunday to raise $4,000.
