Succulent food and drink will once again be served at the central Manlius village location where "What's Your Beef" once stood.
"The Saucy Swan" is stepping in with an Italian-American menu created by new owner and executive chef John Aliasso, a longtime local restaurateur who once owned, operated and prepared more than one fine dish at Grimaldi's on Erie Boulevard.
Diners will enjoy homemade pasta cooked to order, prime rib, steaks, seafood, chicken and veal during dinner hours Monday through Saturday. Private luncheon parties can also be booked, Aliasso said.
The new eatery will open as early as December but not without the liquor license that Aliasso is waiting on. A Dec. 6 opening day is hopeful, however, it could happen later in the month, he said.
Meanwhile, Aliasso has given the old building a slight facelift by painting the exterior and brightening up the inside for a more modern appeal, all the while trying to keep its rustic appearance, for which its known, in place.
In addition, apart from bartenders, Aliasso is seeking help for all positions. For more information, call 727-4592.
