Oneida: Man arrested for shooting windows with BB gun

Travis M. Brown, 18, of Lake Road was arrested for 16 counts of third-degree criminal mischief, a class E felony and four counts of fourth-degree criminal mischief, a class A misdemeanor.

Brown was charged after a traffic stop on March 19 of a suspicious vehicle, which led to a follow up investigation into numerous complaints of vehicles that have been damaged recently by windows being shot out with a BB gun.

He also was arrested for fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon for possessing a police-type baton.

Police claim over a period of time, Brown damaged several windows of vehicles and a picture window with a BB gun. Nearly $7,000 in damage was done to 19 vehicles and the picture window.

The investigation is continuing with additional arrests pending.

Brown was arraigned and committed to Madison County Jail with bail set at $2,500 cash or bond. He is scheduled to appear in court March 28.
