B'ville board has two new officials

A public hearing about a local law regarding converted condominium assessment method will be held at 7:35 p.m. Tuesday April 1 at the Van Buren town hall. Should the law be approved, it would prevent developers from buying properties with multiple buildings and requesting they be assessed as one unit resulting in huge homes being called condominiums. When this occurs, the tax rate drops to about a third of what it would be spreading the tax burden. The law would only prevent developers from doing it in existing developments.

A public hearing regarding streetlights in Seneca Estates and Fairways North in Lysander will be held at 7 p.m. and 7:01 p.m. (respectively) Thursday April 28 at the Lysander town hall at 8220 Loop Road in Radisson. The Seneca Estates streetlight, requested by the home association, was suggested for the intersection of Channelside and East Ivy Trail. The Fairways North streetlight was suggested for the intersection of Greenleaf and River Road.
