The Syracuse Talent Company will present the Central New York Premiere of "Nunsensations! The Nunsense Vegas Revue," the new musical comedy by Danny Goggin, creator of the "Nunsense" shows.
The world's favorite nuns, The Little Sisters of Hoboken, are launching a new show, "Nunsensations," which takes the sisters on a brand new adventure to Las Vegas. When a parishioner volunteers to donate $10,000 to the sisters' school if they will perform in a club in Vegas, Mother Superior is hesitant to accept. However, after being convinced by the other sisters that "what happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas" The Rev. Mother agrees. Performing in The Pump Room "high atop the 3rd floor of the Mystique Motor Lodge in the soul of Sin City," the sisters experience "show-biz" like never before. There's more feathers, more tans, more hats and more hi-jinks.
The show stars Christine Lightcap as The Rev. Mother, Kate Huddleston as Sister Hubert, Jodie Baum as Sister Robert Anne, Erin Race as Sister Amnesia and Sofia Coon as Sister Leo with special appearances by Brothers Gennaro Parlato and Billy Swanson.
Nunsensations! The Nunsense Vegas Revue" is produced by Executive Producer Christine Lightcap and directed and choreographed by Ken Prescott, two-time Los Angeles Drama Logue Winner and three-time Desert Theatre League Award winner. Music direction is by Josh Smith, SALT Award winner for Best Music Director of the Year. Sets are by Stephen Beebe, Costumes by Jeanette Reyner, Lighting by Cindy Shippers and Sound design by Tony Vadala with special set pieces by Chuck Wingerter and Wigs and Headdresses by Karen Procopio. The New York Times said "It's one bet you can't lose!" The Minneapolis Star Tribune said "Nunsensations! Hits the jackpot!, CBS News said "It's Nunsensational" and ABC Television called it "Heavenly Entertainment."
