Northeast Awakening in Syracuse to bring together Christians

The "Northeast Awakening," a major Christian conference, will be held April 18 and 19, at the Nottingham High School Auditorium, 3100 East Genesee St., in Syracuse.

Presented by The United States Apostolic Alliance, the "Northeast Awakening" will feature inspiring messages by noted national Christian leaders including Dutch Sheets, Chuck Pierce, and C. Peter Wagner. Also on the bill are Ron Burgio, Joseph Askins, Sheryl Price, and Vince Aquilino. Worship music will be provided by John Dixon and the Glory of Zion worship team from Denton, Texas.

The cost to attend the conference is $35 per person, or $50 per married couple. The 7p.m. evening session on Friday night, April 18, is free and open to the public.

Fast paced and hands-on, this two-day course covers a wide range of wilderness medicine topics for people who travel and work in the outdoors. The course combines classroom lecture, skills practice and role-playing to teach the response steps and treatment of injuries and illnesses in a delayed-help situation. The Wilderness First Aid course is $90 and the attendee must be currently certified in Adult CPR. A minimum age of 15 years old is highly recommended.

The course will be held on Friday, March 21 and 28 at 5 p.m. at the Syracuse Chapter located on 220 Herald Place.
