Caz: Music for Malaria

Project Cafe presents:

Music For Malaria

Project Caf (c) will sponsor a benefit concert at the Brae Loch Inn on Saturday March 8 to raise funds to assist rural villages in Ghana. Here in Cazenovia, we take the health and safety of our children for granted, but in many parts of Africa, including Ghana, malaria is still a deadly threat. 100 percent of the funds raised at the March 8 event will be used to provide mosquito nets to protect children and families from this widespread disease.

The event will run from 7 to 11p.m. and feature live music from well-known local musicians One Shot Willie, Carmen Chavarria, Donna Colton and Sam Patterellli and Kevin Roe and Jason Dyer. Cazenovia College student Yao Foli, from Ghana, will give a demonstration on African drumming and Cazenovia High School student Billy Reed will display photographs from his trip to Ghana last fall.

The Brae Loch will provide free hors d'oeuvres and a cash bar will be available. Donations will be accepted at the door with all funds collected going to support this worthy cause.
