Available immediately, raffle tickets are $2/ticket or three for $5 and winners don't need to be present to win. A portion of the proceeds will go to the B'ville Relay for Life.
The evening will conclude with a 9 p.m. performance by Kim Fetters and Andy Rudy.
"They are so popular and so good," Delia said about the duo.
While Pizza Man Pub has provided entertainment every Friday and Saturday evening in the front window of the establishment, no bands have been scheduled for the summer months (after June 21). Delia will kick off the fall music line-up on Aug. 30 with Leonard James.
Hours and menu
While Pizza Man offers pizza, wings and pub food seven days a week, on Fridays the menu changes slightly to also offer haddock dinners, sandwiches and macaroni and cheese.
The kitchen is open from 4 to 10 p.m. Sundays through Thursdays and 4 to 11 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays. The bar is open from 4 p.m. to close (at Delia's discretion) Sundays through Thursdays and until 2 a.m. Fridays and Saturdays.
Key to success
Originally opening on a part-time basis in 1983 with partner Al Romano, Delia knew he had to commit himself full-time to the business, so he bought out Romano two years later and dove in. The business now makes enough homemade dough for 100-plus pizzas a day; cuts and shreds their own cheese daily; uses secret family recipe to make their own sauce daily; and makes 100 pounds of homemade sausage per week.
"There are no short cuts here. It is very labor intensive," Delia said. "I always thought if I did the best I could, I would stay in business."
And it has obviously paid off as Pizza Man slices have won the people's choice award for seven years in a row at the Taste of Baldwinsville, not to mention winning the best wing award a few years also.
With the first sports pizza pub in Baldwinsville, Delia is now reaping the benefits of having a successful business.
"So many have told me how much they enjoy this place," Delia said. "Seeing people come in and have a good time, it's the place to be."
