Regal Cinema Expansion

Regal Entertainment Group (NYSE: RGC), a leading motion picture exhibitor owning and operating the largest theater circuit in the United States, announced the opening of four new stadium-seating auditoriums at Regal Cinemas Shoppingtown Mall Stadium 14 in DeWitt. The new name reflects the expansion of the former 10-screen theater. Beginning Friday July 11 Regal Shoppingtown will celebrate by offering special promotions and first-run features including Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Journey to the Center of the Earth and Meet Dave.

"Our loyal customers can now enjoy stadium seating and all the latest theatre amenities during their next trip to Regal Shoppingtown," stated Dick Westerling, Regal Entertainment Group Senior Vice President of Marketing and Advertising. "The expansion and renovation efforts have transformed this theatre into a state-of-the-art facility and we are certain that moviegoers will be impressed."

Guests will find stadium seating, digital surround sound, and new high-back rockers in every auditorium they visit. The former Shoppingtown 10 has been expanded and transformed with renovations throughout. Nine auditoriums are currently open and there is more to come, as five of the original auditoriums are now undergoing a conversion to stadium seating. Renovation of this final wing of auditoriums is expected to be completed in the fall.

To celebrate the expansion and renovations, Regal Shoppingtown Mall Stadium 14 invites moviegoers to enjoy a FREE POPCORN with each paid admission Friday, July 11; Saturday, July 12; and Sunday, July 13. This FREE POPCORN offer includes tickets sold for special midnight shows of Hellboy II: The Golden Army, Journey to the Center of the Earth and Meet Dave this Thursday night.

Moviegoers can also enjoy the Free Family Film Festival at Regal Shoppingtown Mall. Through August 27, the theatre offers selected G and PG rated movies for free on Tuesdays and Wednesdays at 10am. Upcoming movies include Wallace and Gromit, Happy Feet, and Surf's Up.
