Lecture series continues
The fourth season of Cazenovia College's Faculty Library Lecture Series: Great Minds - Great Ideas, in cooperation with the Cazenovia Public Library and the Manlius Library, will resume on Tuesday, Feb. 19 at 7 p.m. in each library. Lectures in the series feature noted faculty members from Cazenovia College who will discuss the lives and work of important thinkers who opened doors of opportunity for the human spirit. Betsy Moore, associate professor of interior design, will present: Extreme Makeover: The Kitchen, at 7 p.m. Tuesday Feb. 19 at the Caz Library. (This lecture was given at the Manlius Library in November, 2007.)
Learn about the influential work of early 19th and 20th century trendsetters: Catharine Beecher, Christine Fredericks, and Cornell University researchers, design and efficiency pioneers who influenced the features of the kitchen, an essential work space whose functions keep evolving.
Betsy Moore has taught in the Cazenovia College Interior Design program since 1992. Prior to and during that tenure, she has engaged in a variety of freelance projects in Central New York. She is an allied member of the American Society of Interior Designers, a professional society focused on design industry issues.
